headspace Service Update

Centacare New England North West would like to advise clients, families and our community that we will no longer be the lead agency for headspace Tamworth and outposts (Gunnedah, Narrabri and Moree) and headspace Armidale, including IPS (Individual Placement & Support), from mid-August 2026.


From 17th July 2026 we will no longer accept new referrals. Further, groups in all locations will be pausing as of 3rd of August 2026.


Young people seeking support during this period can access eheadspace [LINK: https://headspace.org.au/online-and-phone-support/] headspace's free and confidential online and phone support service, by calling 1800 650 890 or visiting the headspace website.


24/7 support can be accessed through Lifeline on 13 11 14 or Kids Helpline on 1800 551 800. In an emergency, call 000.

Young people can begin by:

  • contacting the service directly
  • attending following a referral
  • submitting an enquiry online

Our team will discuss the situation and help identify the most appropriate support.
